“If one does not know to which port he is sailing, no wind is favorable.” (Seneca)
I would like it to be said of me that I was a passionate follower of Jesus. A man who expended himself to make Jesus known personally as well as a result of his leadership. I would like it to be said that I was real, focused but above all Grace Filled and loving. A great husband and father who sacrificed, loved and pointed his family to live for Jesus while reaching out to the world. He modeled in his private life what he proclaimed publicly. I would like it to be said of me that I invested in people to teach, develop and draw out of them their very best and that I made disciples of Jesus that made disciples of Jesus. I would love that those who knew me well saw the intensity and tenderness, the focus and the fun, passion and the pursuit.
Do you know where you’re headed?
In the coming weeks, I’ll show how a completed obituary can lead us to a powerful purpose statement and the resolutions to see that purpose fulfilled.
