Isaiah 53:4-5: Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
Dear Warrior Poet,
The sin and shame have been put on Him so we can lay it aside. We don’t have to live in an identity foisted upon us by this world, by the enemy or by ourselves. We can walk in the light of who our Creator says that we are and walk in the work that He created for us to accomplish. Too often we are defined by our deficiencies rather than by our Savior. It is time to fully walk in the light as He is in the light and live out of an identity as a prince of the Kingdom rather than a slave to fleshly pursuits.
