Matthew 5:41: 41 If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles.
Dear Warrior Poet,
Going the extra mile is a mindset that transcends convenience, comfort or circumstance. We must sacrificially serve to display the life of Christ to the world. Our self-interest and borderline narcissism only tears down the life of Christ and clouds the beauty of salvation. No one notices the comfortable and indulged, except to covet. The life of Christ that lays itself down is a life that draws men to Jesus. The extra mile is more, always one more. How does your life of service point to Jesus? Is it the minimum or is it sacrifice?
